Molokhia

 

 

A simple yet tasty dish that offers a lemony protein filled diet and flavor with the perfect all time favorite Green Land Food Molokhia leaves and your favorite seasonings. 

 

Recipe: 
3 boneless chicken breasts or whole chicken with bone
Sauté them with vegetable oil until they are brown and add the spices of love (bay leaves, cardamom, black pepper, cinnamon, sweet spice)
We add, and let it boil
Remove excess oil from surface of water
Add salt and leave it to completely level
We prepare a marinade for frying the chicken:
Two tablespoons of olive oil, two large spoons of ketchup, a pinch of black pepper, a half spoon tomato powder, a half spoon onion powder, a quarter spoon of ginger powder
Mix them, brush the chicken in them, and put it in the oven for frying only
Half the chicken stock to use with molokhia
Half a kilo of Molokhia leaves. Rinse with water than dry them. 
Stir 5 grated tomatoes, with 1 tablespoon of ghee and 1 tablespoon of oil
And add the molokhia over them and turn it over 
We add approximately 3 cups of chicken stock
Cover and leave it on a quiet fire for 45 minutes
After it is cooked, add the juice of half a lemon (or more if desired)
On the other side we prepare the frying pan
Add two spoons of ghee, butter or oil
Add 3 crushed garlic cloves and let simmer in oil 
And a small spoon of pepper molasses and a small spoon of dried coriander
And we add them over the Molokhia 
Serve with white rice with vermicelli or bread
